Salisbury TV appearance dates released
The beautiful city of Salisbury will be broadcast to millions when it hosts the grand final of elite cycling's OVO Energy Tour Series on Thursday May 31.
The races cover a 1.2km route that takes in many of Salisbury's iconic landmarks including Guildhall Square, the Poultry Cross and the historic streets of the cathedral city centre. This exciting event is free to watch on the day and is being supported by Wiltshire Council and Salisbury City Council with fun family activities from 1pm on May 31.
Dates have been confirmed for the two hour-long programmes on ITV4 that will feature the finals of the elite men's and women's races that will be decided in Salisbury one of the first major events of the recovery programme for Salisbury.
The men's final will be shown on ITV4 on Monday June 4 at 11pm and the women's final will be broadcast on Tuesday June 5 at 11pm. Both programmes will be available on demand via the ITV Hub after broadcast for 30 days. The races are also being shown on more than 100 channels across the globe.
The city's five park and ride sites will be running their free services later than usual for the Tour Series event with the last bus service leaving the coach park in Mill Stream Approach at 10.30pm.
There will also be a brief highlights clip (circa 5 mins) from each event on the dedicated YouTube channel.
