Get your skates on in Salisbury this Christmas

The rink is going to be popular, and we are launching an early bird discount offer until 22 November

Cllr Pauline Church, cabinet member for economic development,

Christmas in Salisbury is offering extra magic and sparkle this year as the city hosts its new all-weather ice rink.

The rink is an exciting addition to the popular Christmas market and will be open in the Guildhall Square from 29 November to 6 January 2019.

This year's Christmas season marks the end of a challenging year for Salisbury and Amesbury. As part of the ongoing recovery Wiltshire Council is leading the delivery of the Christmas market and ice rink. Working with our partners, Salisbury BID, Salisbury City Council and Visit Wiltshire, a winter wonderland will be created to encourage shoppers and visitors.

Cllr Pauline Church, cabinet member for economic development, said: "The rink is going to be popular, and we are launching an early bird discount offer until 22 November. I'd encourage people to book online early to take advantage of this special offer as places are limited."

The early bird family offer is £15 for two adults and two children, a saving of £5. Individual special offer tickets are also available, to 22 November, at £6 for an adult and £5 for a child. Book on the Salisbury Christmas Market website

Themed events will be unveiled soon via the Salisbury Christmas Market website, including an 80s night with a DJ and a Christmas jumper day.

The rink is available for private hire and group bookings. For more information, email events@wiltshire.gov.uk.

Prices after 22 November are: £20 for a family ticket for two adults and two children; £7 for an individual adult and £6 for an individual child.
