Exercise group is up and running

Dig out that tracksuit, pull on those trainers and head for the King George V Park in Melksham for the first in a series of free weekly exercise sessions.

Wiltshire Council is backing a beginners' running group in the town to encourage more people to think about their health and fitness.

John Thomson, cabinet member for leisure said: "It's a perfect opportunity for people to get out into the fresh air and spend some time with like-minded people who are keen to improve their well-being."

The activity will suit people who are new to exercise, with a mix of jogging and walking to suit all fitness levels.

The first 45-minute session starts outside the pavilion at the King George V Park, Melksham, at 9.15am on 25 April.
