Gambling

Local Authorities are responsible for licensing premises used for all forms of gambling, with the exception of the National Lottery.

Lotteries and amusements and gaming machines now come under this Act.

Have your say on the Council’s Statement of Principles under the Gambling Act 2005

Wiltshire Council is seeking views on a draft revised Statement of Principles under the Gambling Act 2005. 

This statement sets out the principles the Council will apply when carrying out its functions under the Gambling Act 2005 and has to be reviewed and republished at least every three years.

The Council is inviting comments on the draft revised Statement of Principles from all interested parties including residents, organisations and licence holders.

The consultation period is 13th June 2018 to 8th August 2018
