The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

The EIR gives a separate right of access to information held by the council for information which relates to our activities that relate to, or, affect the environment.

When we receive requests for information we assess whether the request falls under the Freedom of Information Act or the Environmental Information Regulations and process the request accordingly.
