Safer communities

Anti-social behaviour reduction, Domestic abuse reduction and Community safety teams

Community safety, anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse and substance misuse can affect individuals, families and communities. The teams work within the local authority and with partners to strategically plan and co-ordinate activity to address these issues.

The teams ensure that the Council’s responses to community safety, anti-social behaviour reduction and domestic abuse reduction are maximised and obligations under the Crime and Disorder Act are satisfied. They work across all departments and services in the local authority and with a wide range of other partners to facilitate joint initiatives.
